LTTE delegation arrives in Geneva, enters consultations

Delegation of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), headed by Political Head of the Tigers S.P. Thamilchelvan arrived in Geneva International Airport Thursday morning and engaged in internal consultations Thursday around 4:00 p.m. with the legal advisors and diaspora experts in Geneva.

LTTE delegation began internal deliberations with Legal Advisor of the LTTE, V. Rudrakumaran, a New York based attorney, and Dr. Manuelpillai Paul Dominic, Professor of Law, University of Sydney, Australia. LTTE Political Head S.P. Thamilchelvan and Tamileelam Police Chief B. Nadesan earlier addressed diaspora Tamil activists who had gathered to welcome the LTTE delegation at the Geneva Airport. Addressing the diaspora activists, Mr. Thamilchelvan said the talks venue in Geneva provided another opportunity to the International Community to stocktake the ground realities caused by the policy of "state terrorism" on the part of the Government of Sri Lanka.  LTTE delegation arrived in Geneva Thursday morning.
