The United National Front government of Sri Lanka will issue a special statement on Saturday on the interim administrative structure proposal of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, which is scheduled to be submitted to the government through the Norwegian ambassador in Colombo Friday evening, Cabinet spokesman and UNF's Constitutional Affairs Minister, Professor G.L.Peiris, said at the weekly press briefing held Thursday at the government information department, media sources said.

The Norwegian ambassador in Sri Lanka is scheduled to leave for Kilinochchi Friday morning to receive the LTTE's interim administration proposals. He would return to Colombo the same day evening and hand it over to the Prime Minister, Minister Peiris said.

The LTTE political head, Mr.S.P.Thamilchelvan, is to brief the local and foreign journalists on Saturday about its proposal on the interim administrative structure for the northeast province, media sources said.

Minister Mr.Peiris further said a copy of the LTTE proposals on the IA would be sent to President Chandrika Kumaratunga. The Prime Minister, Mr.Ranil Wickremasinghe, who would be on his way to the United States of America, would hand over a copy of it to the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader and Minister Mr. Rauff Hakeem, in London, England.

Mr. Hakeem has led a group of Muslim intelligentsia to Great Britain to study aspects of devolution, sources said.
