Sinhala pre-school teachers join TRO's scheme[TamilNet, Sunday, 24 October 2004, 03:23 GMT]Twenty two pre-school teachers from eleven schools in the Gomarankadawela division of the Trincomalee district Sunday arrived at the office of Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) to join the scheme of the Pre School Educational Development Council (PSEDC), which has its headquarters in Killinochchi, TRO sources said. Gomarankadawela is a traditional Sinhalese village in the east port district.
The teachers arrived in Trincomalee on Sunday and met with the Trincomalee District Director of TRO Mr.Kiruba at the TRO office and expressed their willingness to serve within the PSEDC scheme of the TRO in future as they felt the TRO and PSEDC are serving pre-schoolchildren and teachers of all communities effectively, sources said.
Mr.Kiruba briefed the Sinhala pre-school teachers about the PSEDC policy on pre-school development in the northeast province.
