2 SLN troopers killed in Claymore attack in Kayts[TamilNet, Thursday, 27 April 2006, 08:33 GMT]Two Sri Lanka Navy troopers who were on a road clearing patrol in Urkavathurai (Kayts), Jaffna, were killed in a Claymore mine ambush Thursday around 6:30 a.m. The attack took place at Serukkal junction in Kayts. This is the first Claymore attack to be reported in the islets of Jaffna this year. The SLN unit was engaged in cleaning a street along which the claymore device was concealed, according to SLN sources in Kayts.
