Sri Lanka Parliament is to debate an adjournment motion moved by Mr.Sripathi Sooriyarachchi, co-ordinator of the Peoples Wing of he Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) on Thursday on the controversial allegation that Sri Lanka's President Mahinda Rajapakse had given money to the LTTE on the eve of 2005 November presidential election.

Mr.Mangala Samaraweera and Mr.Sripathi Sooriyarachchi have alleged soon after their expulsion from the posts of ministries that Mr.Mahinda Rajapakse had given money to LTTE through his brothers during the presidential elections.

A motion tabled in parliament requesting for a parliamentary select committee to go into the allegation is also pending in parliament for a debate.

Political circles speculate that Mr.Sooriayarachchi would divulge more information regarding his allegation against Mr.Mahinda Rajapakse during the debate.
