Bomb destroys EPDP MP's jeep

A jeep used by the EPDP Batticaloa MP, Mr. Rasamanikam, was destroyed when a bomb believed to have been fixed to it, exploded around 3 p.m. today. The jeep was parked at a workshop at Thaandavanveli in the eastern district.

The jeep was parked at a workshop at Thaandavanveli in the eastern district. Sources said the jeep was brought to the workshop two days ago for repairs and the explosion occurred a short while before the jeep was to be collected It is not known whether anybody was wounded in the explosion.
