The body of the Home guard, Prabath, attached to the Ampara Police, was recovered from a lagoon yesterday the police said. He was reported abducted on Friday while on duty. The decapitated body was thrown into the lagoon, bound in a sack, the police said. The body was handed over to his relatives after an inquest was held at Ampara hospital. Police investigations are continuing.
