Clay more blast injures 2 naval personnel[TamilNet, Monday, 28 February 2000, 07:41 GMT](CORRECTION) Two Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) personnel were wounded in a claymore mine attack by the Liberation Tigers in the Trincomalee District, around 11 a.m.today, naval sources said. They were travelling in a tractor when the Tigers set off the mine at Irakkandy, 15 km. north of Trincomalee town on Uppuveli-Kuchchaveli road. SLN sources confirmed that a Hindu priest who was on his way to perform poojahs in a temple at Kuchchaveli had sustained gunshot injuries. The wounded priest and naval personnel were admitted at the Trincomalee base hospital. (Note:In our earlier report it was stated that two SLN personnel were killed and 4 others were wounded in that attack.)
