Batticaloa Womens Movement for Social Upliftment met with Colonel Karuna and other senior officials of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in the meeting hall of the Thenakam Rest House in Karadiyanaru, Batticaloa Friday at 8pm to discuss issues confronting women including employment opportunities, education, and welfare of single parent families, sources in Batticaloa said.
