Journalists visit Kilinochchi area

A team of journalists who were taken today to see Kilinochchi by the SLA were able to go only up to Paranthan junction. The group of photographers in the team were however taken by foot up to the Karadippokku junction and near Kandaswamy Kovil (temple) North of Kilinochchi town.

The group of photographers in the team were however taken by foot up to the Karadippokku junction and near Kandaswamy Kovil (temple) North of Kilinochchi town. The photographers were then led by the SLA along a foot path to the west of the town. They were taken to place about 600 yards behind the Kilinochchi hospital. A photographer who was there said that they were briefed by the SLA at the Palaly military base and were shown video footage of the Kilinochchi town.
