Tigers list captured weapons

The Voice of Tigers (VoT) said in their night news broadcast today that the Liberation Tigers had launched a lightening attack on the Sri Lankan Police camp at Thoppur in Muthur in Trincomalee around 12.30 a.m. and had completely destroyed it.

The radio said that the camp had come under the complete control of the LTTE following the attack which had lasted only for about 20 minutes.

The Tigers completely destroyed the camp and its sentry points as the Police took to their heels in the initial phase of the attack, the VoT said.

The LTTE sustained no casualties in the attack according the radio.

It said that the casualties on the Police side were not known as they (the Police) had taken to their heels.

The VoT gave the following list of weapons captured by the LTTE from the Thoppur Police camp:
