4 SLA soldiers killed - Radio

The Voice of Tigers said in its night news broadcast that the Liberation Tigers attacked a group of Sri Lankan Army traveling in a tractor today east of Mankulam killing four soldiers and wounding two.
The radio also said that Black Tigers belonging to the naval arm of Leopards, an elite commando unit of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), penetrated the defences of Trincomalee harbour and sank a Fast Patrol Craft of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) at 12.36 a.m. yesterday. Seven SLN sailors were killed in the attack, according to the radio. The radio said that two Tigers, Cpt. Issaiaalan (Sundararaj Raviraj, Killinochchi) and Cpt. Aarvalan or Gopi (Sebastian Augustine, Nuwara Eliya) were killed in the attack.
