Batticaloa GA shot, wounded

Batticaloa government agent, Mr. Ratnam Mounagurusamy, was shot and wounded by unidentified gunmen near the eastern town Saturday evening around 6 p.m. Police said.

He was travelling in a car when the gunmen opened fire at Pillaiyaradi on the northern outskirts of Batticaloa town.

He was rushed to the intensive care unit of the Batticaloa hospital.
