Nimalarajan murder suspect arrested[TamilNet, Tuesday, 30 March 2004, 15:01 GMT]The Kayts Police in Jaffna district Tuesday arrested the absconding suspect Mr.Kanthasamy Jegatheeswaran alias Jegan in the Journalist Mylvaganam Nimalarajan murder case. The Jaffna Magistrate Mr.R.T.Viknarajah last week issued open warrant on the suspect when he failed to appear in court, legal sources said. The Kayts Police Tuesday produced the suspect Jegan before the Kayts Magistrate Mr.A.Premshankar who in turn ordered the Police to produce the suspect before Jaffna Magistrate Wednesday. The Jaffna Magistrate earlier allowed bail for all the suspects who are members of the Eelam Peoples Democratic party (EPDP) in the Journalist Nimalarajan murder including Jegan.
