LTTE hands over 6 cadres to parents in Vavuniya

The Liberation Tigers in Vavuniya on Wednesday handed over six youths, who had joined the LTTE a few months back on their own, to their parents, sources said.

Mr. S. Elilan, the political head of the LTTE in Vavuniya, handed over the six cadres to their parents at the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission office in Vavuniya, sources said.

The six youths are each about 20 years old, and as they now wanted to return to their parents, the LTTE acted on their requests, Mr. Elilan said.
