TNA MPs meet with Japanese Ambassador

Members of Tamil Nationall Alliance's (TNA's) Foreign Affairs Committee, Parliamentarians Joseph Pararajasingham and Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam, met with Japanese Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mr. Akio Suda and Second Secretary Mr. Kenji Miyata at 4pm Tuesday, sources said.
Wide range of issues was discussed and special attention was given to the present stalemate in the peace process. The Parliamentarians also explored with the Ambassador ways to recommence negotiations at the earliest. Matters related to the Ceasefire Agreement (CFA), including the recent events that threaten CFA's future, were also discussed, TNA sources said. The M.P.s had thanked Japan for the continued support for the peace process and requested that Japan use the considerable influence it has with the government of Sri Lanka to seek quick resumption of talks, the sources added.
