Uyilankulam murder suspects further remanded

Anuradhapura Magistrate Mr.Harsha Seirusinghe Friday forwarded a report of
the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Police to the Mannar
Magistrate that more bodies of persons could be buried in a Sri Lanka Army (SLA)
Camp, which is located in Uyilankulam in Mannar district, legal sources said.
Mannar Magistrate revealed this when the prime suspect Army Major Anurudha Dhammika Wijeyabagu was produced in courts Friday in connection with the alleged murder of Mr.Gamini Lalith, legal sources said. The body of Mr.Gamini Lalith was recovered from the Uyilankulam SLA camp. Major Wijeyabagu and corporal Mr.S.Samantha Kumara were arrested and remanded in connection with this murder, legal sources said. Mannar Magistrate Mr.M.N.M.Abdulla ordered remand for the two suspects till November 18. According to CID sources that these suspects are allegedly involved in several crimes in various parts of the island.
