Balasingham, Solheim arrive in Colombo

Mr.Anton Balasingham, political strategist of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam(LTTE) arrived in Colombo Tuesday morning around 5 a.m. Mr.Erik Solheim, Norwegian special peace envoy arrived in Colombo after midnight Tuesday, political and diplomatic sources said.
Mr.Anton Balasingham is due to fly to Killinochchi Tuesday morning by a special aircraft of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), sources said. Political sources said both have come to Sri Lanka to make preparation for the visit of Norwegian Foreign Minister Mr.Jan Peterson accompanied by his deputy Mr.Vidar Helgessen on November 10. Mr.Anton Balasingham on his arrival in Killinochchi will hold discussion with LTTE leadership to prepare groundwork for a meeting with Mr. Jan Peterson who is expected to hold discussion with Mr.V.Pirapaharan, sources said. Meanwhile, Mr.Erik Solheim is to meet the delegations of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Tuesday morning, sources said.
