Relocation of Tsunami victims in Vadamaradchchi east discussed

Colonel Soosai, Sea Tiger Commander Wednesday presided a conference held in Maruthankerni common hall which is located in LTTE controlled Vadamaradchchi east and discussed the question of relocating Tsunami victims of villages, Mamunai, Sempianpattu, Thalaiyadi, Maruthankerni and Uduthurai in safer areas, sources said.

Mr.V.Ilankumaran, Head of Thamileelam Education Board, LTTE Killinochchi district LTTE political head Mr.Sivanath and Maruthankerni Assistant Government Agent Mr.T.Jeyaseelan attended the discussion. Representatives of civil groups also participated in the event, sources said.

A decision to relocate the Tsunami displaced in lands four hundred metres away from shore was taken at the conference, sources said.
