UN official meets LTTE delegation

Mr. Olara Otunnu, UN Special Representative on Children in Armed Conflict met a delegation from the Liberation Tigers today at an unspecified location in Thunukkai in the Vanni, today, said sources in Vavuniya.

The meeting between the Liberation Tigers and the UN representative was cordial and conducted in a friendly manner, said the sources.

Mr. Anton Balasingham, political advisor led the LTTE delegation, said the sources.Further details of the meeting are not known.

Mr. Otunnu later visited some of the welfare centres in the area, said.
