Military activity in Mankulam area

Three SLA soldiers were wounded in Mannakulam, southwest of Mankulam, when the Liberation Tigers fired mortars on troops of Operation Jeyasikurui yesterday, said SLA sources in Vavuniya.

Meanwhile the Voice of Tigers (VoT) said in its morning broadcast that one female LTTE fighter, Sukanya (Sukanthi Navaratnam, Trincomalee) died yesterday in a clash with the SLA in Kilinochchi.

Meanwhile, SLAF helicopters flew several sorties toward Mankulam yesterday night, and this morning, said local residents in the northern town of Vavuniya.
