Pirapaharan sends condolence message to Vatican

In message of condolence on the death of Pope John Paul II sent to the Head of Cardinal Congregation in Vatican, Rome, Leader of Liberation Tigers, Mr. V. Pirapaharan, said: "The extra-ordinary life , work and preaching of the Holy Father will be cherished in the hearts of all human beings who believe in the noble values of freedom, liberty and equality."
The full text of the message is as follows: "On behalf of the people of Tamil Eelam I wish to express my heartfelt sorrow and sadness over the demise of the most revered Holy Father, Pope John Paul II. "The Holy Father has made an outstanding contribution to world peace, co-existence between nations and harmonious relations between peoples of different belief systems. As a global spiritual leader he championed the emancipation of the poor and the oppressed, expressing a profound message of compassion, kindness and brotherly love. "The passing away of this supreme human being who devoted his entire spiritual life for the redemption of humanity is a profound loss to the world. The extra-ordinary life, work and the preaching of the Holy Father will be cherished in the hearts of all human beings who believe in the noble values of freedom, liberty and equality."
