Sewing training centres opened in Vadamaradchi east

Working Women Development Organization (WWDO) and Rural Rehabilitation Development Organization (RRDO) of the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization (TRO) Tuesday inaugurated two sewing training centres for tsunami affected women at Chempianpattu and Kaddaikadu-Mullian villages in the Vadamaradchi east division in the Jaffna district.
Mr.Mathuranayagam of Chempianpattu Rural Development Society presided Chempianpattu event and Mr.Vithiayapathy, Grama Sevaka Officer of the area, lighted the traditional lamp. Mr.Nilavan, Vadamaradchchi East Sea Tigers Political Head hoisted the Thamileelam national flag and Mr.Jude; Co-ordinator of Vadamaradchchi East Tsunami Development Project hoisted the TRO flag. WWDO President Ms Yuvanambihai hoisted her institution flag. Messrs Nilavan, Jude and Ms Yuvanambihai spoke. Mr.Emmaunel, member of the RDS proposed vote of thanks. Mr.Nilavan said in his speech that these sewing training centres are opened on the day the northeast observed the seventeenth death anniversary of Annai Poopathi. TRO has planned to implement several projects for the development of Chempianpattu. Mr.S.Muthurasa, President of Kaddaikadu Community Economic Development Committee presided the event at Kaddaikadu-Mullian. Mr.S.Jeyabavandamalai, Mullian Grama Sevaka Officer and Mr.Yogarajah of Fisheries Co-operative Society lighted the traditional oil lamp. Mr.Nilavan and Mr.Jude hoisted the Thamileelam national flag and TRO flag respectively. RRDO Co-ordinator Ms Rajila hoisted RRDO flag. Mr.Sivagnanasuntharam of Killinochchi District TRO Co-ordinator, Mr.Jude, and Mr.Nilavan spoke. Ms Sutha, Project Co-ordinator of RRDO proposed vote of thanks.
