Tamil youth found dead at Colombo lodge

Dead body of Mr. Vivekanandarajah Kandasamy, a 23-years-old Tamil youth from Akkaraipattu in Amparai district, was recovered by Pettah Police from a lodge in Colombo Wednesday evening.

Mr. Vivekanandarajah has been residing alone in a room at lodge located on Colombo Kathiresan Road for the past three weeks. The youth was not seen by the residents for the past three days, sources said.

The cause of the death is not known.

The body was handed over to the mortuary of the Colombo Hospital, sources added.

The lodge owner called the police after detecting foul odor from the occupant's room, sources said.
