Dry ration to families affected by SLA fishing ban

Government Agent Mr.K.Ganesh is preparing to supply dry ration relief for the several hundreds fisher families who are economically
crippled by the fishing ban imposed by the Sri Lanka
security forces in several parts of the Jaffna district, district secretariat
sources said.
Mr.K.Ganesh has directed Divisional Secretaries of Vadamarachchi North,
Velanai, Point Pedro, Chankanai and Sandilipai to send reports immediately
regarding the number fisher families affected by fishing ban. The secretariats have also been asked to provide data on the number of three
and a half ton fishing boats, canoes, catamaran and fiberglass boats, owned by the affected families, district secretariat sources said.
