Two fighters killed in SLA attack on Trinco minicamp - LTTE

The Liberation Tigers on Saturday said two of their fighters, a Lieutenant and a Second Lieutenant were killed Friday evening when a minicamp located in the LTTE held Kadavanaikulam area in Trincomalee district was attacked by a group of around 50 soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army, according to the LTTE's Trincomalee Political office. The LTTE Political Head in Trincomalee, Mr. S. Elilan has lodged a complaint with details, the sources added.
Lt. Kumuthan (Tharmalingam Sureshrooban) from 7th District in Kaddaiparichan and 2nd Lt. Yasho (Nagarajah Irasan) from 3rd Colony in Kiliveddy, were the LTTE fighters who were killed when they defended the LTTE minicamp from the SLA soldiers, according to the LTTE sources. The remaining cadres who relocated to a safe location in the LTTE controlled area have established communication and contact with the LTTE command, the sources said adding that the details of the attack on their minicamp at Thiyagavanam in Kadavanaikulam were being provided to the the truce monitors in Trincomalee District.
