Tamil shop employee injured in Trinco grenade attack

Unidentified person lobbed a grenade inside a Tamil shop located in the Madathady junction in Trincomalee Tuesday morning. Mr.Thevatharsan, 25, an employee of the shop was critically injured in the attack. The shop was also damaged, Trincomalee Police said.

The shop is located few yards away from the Trincomalee Police Headquarters along the Main Street in the east port town.

The injured was immediately transferred to the Kandy general hospital, as his condition was critical, hospital sources said.
