Parcel containing ammunitions found in Wattala

Municipal road clearing workers found a parcel containing ammunitions in a garbage bin in Wattala Colombo near the Hunupitty Railway station at 8 a.m. Sunday, sources in Colombo said.

120 bullets and 5 grenades were found inside the parcel, Wattala Police investigating into the incident said. The police further said that the bullets were of anti-aircraft type.

Investigations are continuing, police said.
