World Vision supported projects inaugurated in Muttur east

World Vision, an international non-governmental organization inaugurated two projects Wednesday, one at Ganeshapuram and the other at Kadatkaraichchenai in the Liberation Tigers held Muttur east to provide learning facilities for students and psychosocial development for children children.
In Ganeshapuram village, an Education Centre for students from Grade 3 to Grade 13 to follow extra classes after school hours began functioning from Wednesday under the supervision of the Thamileelam Students Organization. The objective is to provide education to rural students to compete in public examinations on par with urban students. Eighteen teachers have been appointed to conduct classes in the centre. The World Vision will provide them with remuneration, sources said Mr.Muthurajah, Principal of Ganeshapuram Vipulananda Vidiyalayam presided over the event. Mr.Ashokumar, World Vision official, Ms Kaaronja, LTTE Trincomalee district women political head and Mr.Puratchi, Trincomalee district head of the Thamileelam Students Organization spoke at the event. At Kadatkaraichchenai, Child Friendly Space project was inaugurated. The objective of the project is to provide psychosocial development training to about two hundred children. Three teachers are employed to provide the
training. Mr.Ashokumar of World Vision declared open the centre. The flame of sacrifice was lit by Mr.Puratchi, Trincomalee district head of the Thamileelam Students Organization, Mr.Ilankathir of Sea Tigers, Mr.Vilavaretnam, Principal of Kadatkaraichchenai Vidiyalayam and Mr.Ashokumar.
