Abducted Valaichenai students released

Valaichenai Hindu College students, Jeyaraj Kirisanth and Suthaharan Kulosan, abducted Monday in front of ZOA office in Valaichenai, were released by the captors and arrived at 1.30 p.m. at the Valaichenai Veterinary Hospital in a bus, sources in Batticaloa said. Within ten minutes of their arrival, Valaichanai Police officers arrived at students' homes and took the students to the Police Station for investigations, sources said.

Valaichenai Police had told the parents that the students will be detained at the Police Station and will be released only after appearing before a magistrate Thursday, sources said.
