Explosion injures 4 SLN personnel in Mannar

Four Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) personnel were injured in an explosion while they were burning refuse collected in the Mannar navy camp, around around 5.30 p.m., Friday, sources in Mannar said.

The injured soldiers were admitted to the Mannar general hospital around 8.30 p.m. One had sustained injuries to his chest and other in the head, medical sources said.

They were later transferred to the Anuradhapura general hospital in three ambulances, sources said.
