Korean national injured in Vavuniya claymore blast

Lan Lee, a 51 years old Korean citizen, was injured when the pickup truck he was travelling at the Vavuniya Aluthgama junction came under claymore attack at 12 noon Wednesday, sources in Vavuniya said. He was taken to Vavuniya teaching hospital, but his injuries are not life threatening, hospital sources said.

Mr Lee ran a quarry business in partnership with Mr Jayasinghe in the Mahakachchakodiya area, sources said.

Officer in Charge of Vavuniya Police, Mr Tennekoon, conducted inquires with the injured person at the Vavuniya hospital, according to police sources.
