Tuberculosis awareness program held in Mulangavil

Tamileelam Health Services (THS) organized a Tuberculosis awareness program in Iranaimathanagar, Mulangavil in Kilinochchi district sponsored by International Organization for Migration (IOM), sources in Kilinochchi said.

An tuberculosis awareness video show, a medical clinic including laboratory tests for tuberculosis were conducted, benefitting more than 500 residents of the Mulangavil, sources said.

Two new tuberculosis cases were identified and four suspected cases were referred to Kilinochchi District Hospital for further investigations.

Anemic patients were also treated in the medical clinic.

In addition, Dental unit of THS was also present, and dental awareness exhibition was held with this program.
