Dead body with knife wounds recovered in Eravur, Batticaloa

The dead body with knife cuts, of fisherman Sinnamuthu Sivalingam 43 from Kaluvankerny in Batticaloa was recovered Monday around 7.30 a.m on the Eravur Punnaikuda beach by Eravur police, said the police.

Complaints at the Eravur police had been made that the murdered fisherman, a father of four children, had not returned from his fishing since Friday, added the police.

The dead body has been handed over at the Eravur hospital. Punnaikuda beach is located 7 km east of Eravur.
