SLA fire injures Muttur east woman

Ms. Alageswary Sivagnanam, 50, of Chenaiyoor was injured badly in one her eyes when soldiers manning the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) camp at Alimsenai, in the government controlled Muttur division suddenly started firing indiscriminately towards the villages in the LTTE held Muttur east Tuesday
evening around 6.30 p.m., sources said.
The injured was in the verandah of her house
resting when one bullet pierced through her eye, civil sources said. She is to be attended urgently by an eye specialist but has been forced to stay in Chenaiyoor till Wednesday morning to travel to government hospital in Muttur or in Trincomalee. SLA has closed down the Kaddaiparichchan
exit point from Muttur east in the night for traveling, civil sources said.
