Grenade attack injures 2 SLA soldiers in Jaffna

Two Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were injured when unidentified attackers riding a motorbike, lobbed a grenade at a check post at Perumal temple, close to 51.2 Brigade HQ, in Jaffna, around 2.15 p.m., Sunday, sources said.

The SLA soldiers retaliated by firing at the attackers, the sources said.

The area was cordoned off and searched by the troopers, according to the sources.
