Former Divisional Secretary remembered

The services rendered by Mr.M.Faleel, former Divisional Secretary, were recalled at a memorial event held Sunday evening at Natpiddimunai in Kalmunai division, his home village, sources in Batticaloa said. Mr.Faleel was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on December 4 last year when he was serving as the Divisional Secretary of Kattankudy in Batticaloa district, sources said.

A souvenir remembering the services of late Mr.Faleel was released at the event.

Mr.V.Subramaniam, President of the Amparai Tamil People Forum, Rev.Brother Mathews, and Mr.M.L.Jameer speaking at the memorial event said that the death of Mr.Faleel had removed a service-minded government officer who had dedicated his life for the well-being of the people.
