3 SLA soldiers killed, Claymore attack, clash at FDL in Vavuniya

Two Sri Lanka Army soldiers were killed in a Claymore attack at Kalmadu, 12 km northwest of Vavuniya town around 5:00 p.m. Thursday. One soldier was wounded and rushed to Vavuniya hospital, Police said. Meanwhile, a clash erupted at Omanthai Forward Defence Line (FDL) where one SLA soldier was killed and another trooper was wounded.

The clash at Omanthai FDL was reported at 5:30 p.m.

Omanthai FDL is located 14 km north of Vavuniya.
