Hartal call withdrawn in Mannar

The general shut down planned to be held on Monday in Mannar district protesting against the fishing ban in Pesalai and Pallimunai Sea has been called off following the announcement by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) that the ban would be relaxed immediately, fisheries sources said.

Mannar District Fisheries Federation earlier called for a general shut down in the entire district crippling the civil administration till the ban is lifted, sources said.
