Two Mannar Tamils reported missing

Fourteen year old student, Anton Reginald of Murugan Kovil Road, Keeri, and Soosaippar Victor Cross, 44, of Pesalai in Mannar district are reported missing, according to complaints lodged with the Mannar regional office of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) by their relatives, civil sources said.

Anton Reginald on July 4 left home for Vavuniya in a private bus but did not reach his destination in Vavuniya and has not retuned home, his mother Ms Mary Magdalene said in her complaint.

Two unidentified persons in civil dress took Mr.Soosaippar Victor Cross of Pesalai on July 17th night around 9.45 p.m when he was staying in his house in Colombo. Thereafter his whereabouts are not known, said his brother in a complaint to the HRCSL Mannar regional office.

Mannar regional office of the HRCSL has been conducting inquiries into these two complaints, civil society sources said.
