Funeral of LTTE members killed in SLAF air strike held

The funeral of 7 LTTE members killed in the air strike by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) on Thursday in Kathiraveli was held at Aalankulam LTTE Hero's Cemetery in the Muttur East, Friday evening, LTTE sources said.

The bodies were taken in a procession with military guard to Aalankulam Heroes' Cemetery, the sources said.

The names of the LTTE cadres killed in the aerial attack are:-

1. Isai (Vairamuthu Balakumar, Poonagar, Eachchilampathu)
2. Elatharasan (Ganeshasabai Sathirajah, Poomarathadichchenai)
3. Sutharsan(Thevarajah Gajendran, Menkamam, Killiveddy)
4. Kuralalzan (Navaratnam Sasitharan, Sunkankuli, Kinniya)
5. Mano (Kumaresapillai Thivakaran, Narayanapuram, Thoppur)
6. Muthamilzan (Selvanayagam Hariharan, Anpuvallipuram, Trincomalee)
7. Nalinarooban (Nagendran Chandrakanthan, Ilankaithurai Muhathuwaram)

Meanwhile, the burial of two members of the Tamil auxiliary force killed in a Claymore explosion Friday evening at Eachchilimapathu west area is to take place Saturday evening, LTTE sources in Mutur east said.

The names of those killed are: Suntharam Yogaseelan and Sithiravel Jeyanthiran of Vinayagapuram, the sources said.
