Two youths killed in Jaffna

Unidentified gunmen shot dead two youths in Jaffna within the past two days, sources in peninsula said. A youth from Kalikai area in Thunnalai, was killed by gunmen Friday morning while riding his bicycle near Samian Arasady junction in Karaveddy, Vadamaradchy. In a separate incident, another youth was shot dead near Atchuvely on Thursday night, sources in Jaffna said.
Thevarasa Manoraj, 29, father of one child, was married in Kachchai, Kodikamam and was living in Thunnalai when he was killed. Unidentified armed men killed Thangarasa Thanenthiran, 26, near Atchuvely junction. His body is kept at the morque of Jaffna Teaching Hospital. Kalikai junction lies at the intersection of Point Pedro- Chavakachcheri road and Nelliyadi-Kodikamam Road. The junction is located 5 km south of Point Pedro town.
