Tamil mother, daughter arrested in Maskeliya

A Tamil mother and her daughter were arrested Wednesday morning by the Maskeliya Police in the central province on receipt of information that they had taken photographs of the Mousakelle reservoir located in the high security zone, sources said.

The mother and daughter were residents of Jaffna and now residing in Colombo.

They had gone to see their relatives in Maskeliya.

Both the mother and daughter are to be produced before the Hatton Magistrate later Thursday, legal sources said.
