Mannar civilian blindfolded and killed

A highly decomposed body of a young father of two children was located at Kallikaddaikadu, 13 km southeast of Mannar town, Tuesday evening. The victim, Anthonipillai Sagayanathan, a mason, has been missing since eyewitnesses saw him Friday when Sri Lanka Army soldiers had stopped and interrogated him.

The victim was blindfolded, his hands legs were tied when Murunkan residents located his body and reported to the Police.

The body of the victim was handed over to Mannar hospital for post mortem.

Mr. Anthonipillai had left home for work last Friday.
