Remains of Eelanatham Journalist cremated in Kilinochchi

The event paying final tribute to 'Patriot' Late V. Aruljothinathan, the senior most journalist of Eelanatham Tamil daily, was held at Eelanatham office at Jeyanthinagar in Kilinochchi Wednesday around 2:00 p.m, presided by V. Sudarmani, deputy head of Eelanatham.
S. P. Tamilchelvan, Political Head of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), had earlier paid last respects at Aruljothinathan's home, sources in Kilinochchi said. Thamilchelvan was followed by Kilinochchi Government Agent T. Rasanayagam and officials and representatives of various public and private institutions. Pon. Thiyagam, Officer-in-charge of National Heroes Resting Homes, lit the Common Flame.  S. P. Tamilchelvan is paying his last respects to Late V. Aruljothinathan
The remains of Late. Mr. Aruljothinathan was cremated at Anandapuram Hindu cremation grounds in Kilinochchi Wednesday evening. Mr Aruljothinathan started his career in 1993 at 'Eelanatham,' a Tamil newspaper published in Vanni, from the day of the inception of its weekly edition. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam conferred him 'Patriot' title in honour of his journalistic services.
