Tamil youth killed in Kelaniya

The body of a youth was recovered from the high security zone surrounding the Sapuskanda oil refinery of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation located in the Kelaniya police division in Colombo district Wednesday morning. Sapuskanda Police said the body belonged to a 26-year-old Tamil youth native of Chavakachcheri in Jaffna district but the police declined to give the name of the youth and other details, according to media sources in Colombo.

No injuries were found on the body but the police suspected that he had been killed and his body had been dumped in the high security zone.

The police sources also suspect that the youth could have come to the area on a surveillance mission.

The body has been now kept in the Ragama hospital for further investigation, sources said
