30 killed, 41 wounded in bus accident in South

Thirty passengers were killed and 41 injured when a passenger bus collided with a container lorry at Induruwa in the Kosgoda police area, Galle district, Tuesday morning around 6:30 a.m., police said. Sixteen passengers, in critical condition, were rushed to the Karapitiya and Balapitiya hospitals.

The bus had been heading to Colombo from Udugama along A 2 while the container which was carrying beer was heading from Colombo to Galle.
