2 youths reported missing in Kaaththaankudi

Unidentified gunmen abducted two youths Tuesday at Karupola village in Aaraiyampathi east in Kaaththaankudi police division in Batticaloa district, according to complaints made at Kaaththaankudi police station, sources in Batticaloa said.

The abducted youths were identified as Mylvaganam Vigneswaran, 20, and Kunasekaran, 32.

An office of Karuna group is located close to Aaraimpathi Special Task Force (STF) camp.

Karuna paramilitary group members from this office ride through Karupola village on their motor cycles very often, residents of the village said.

Kaaththaankudi police are investigating into the case.
