5 women arrested at Kalutara conference

Security personnel on duty at Kalutara district secretariat arrested five women when they were forcibly entering the conference where Mr.Ratnasiri Wickremanayake, Prime Minister was presiding over conference related to the district development activities on Saturday evening, Kalutara police sources said.

Police said the women did not obtain prior permission to enter the conference hall.

The arrested women were taken in for questioning by a special team of the police.

Police did not reveal immediately the names or race of the suspects, sources said.
