Captured Dvora sinks - radio

The Sea Tigers captured a Dvora Fast Attack Craft (FAC) and removed all its heavy weapons in the sea battle off Mullaithivu coast said 'Tamil Eelam Vaanoli' (radio), the commercial broadcast of the Voice of Tigers (VoT) in its news bulletin at 6.30 this evening.
The radio said that the Dvora that was captured by the Sea Tigers had sunk while being towed to Mullaithivu coast this morning. The Sea Tigers intercepted and attacked the Sri Lankan Navy convoy sailed with 2 gunboats, 2 supply-ships and 12 Dvoras from KKS in Jaffna at 5.30 a.m today the radio said. According to the radio 10 sailors were killed and 2 Dvoras were damaged by the Sea Tigers in the fighting. Two helicopter gunships had also taken part in the sea battle with Sea Tigers in the high seas off Mullaithivu that had raged from 5.30 a.m to 9. 00 a.m according to the radio. The radio also said two Sea Tigers, Cpt. Ilankathir and Mennon, died in the battle.
